Ripley Castle Wedding Venue

Ripley Castle Wedding Venue

ripley castle wedding

Ripley Castle Weddings are always special to photograph. The Place is stunning, and with its 14th century castle set in the quaint north Yorkshire village of Ripley, just outside of Harrogate, it offers that fairytale touch that just about every Bride would die for.

Getting married at Ripley Castle has so much to offer . Firstly the grounds are stunning, with its beautiful lake and the outstanding backdrops, you would be hard pressed to find a better venue in Yorkshire with as much history and kudos.

We have worked at Ripley Castle many times over the years and would like to say that we know this wonderful venue like the back of our hands. Having the experience  of shooting lots of weddings there is always a bonus as we know all the best spots to shoot the best pictures.

Most of our Ripley castle wedding couples go for the wedding package which includes a slideshow presentation at the evening reception. To explain, we have two professional photographers at your wedding and whilst one of us is photographing the speeches, the other photographer, which is me, is putting together a selection of the wedding images (usually around a hundred images) which we put through photoshop and then set the whole slideshow to music and then we present the “show” on a giant projector screen, in front of your invited guests in the evening just befor the first dance.  Now its not a rolling show that goes on all night, it much more dramatic than that. Its a six minute extravaganza that shows everyone even those who didnt make it on to the main “wedding guest list”  The advantage of this is that it kickstarts the start of the evening festivities and everyone gets to see snapshot of the best day of your life.

Anyhow the reason why I’m telling you this, is that I started to looking through some of the Ripley Castle weddings that I shot over the last 18 months and thought that some of the girls who might be thinking about getting married would like to view one of these slideshows. Well the one you see below is a combination of two weddings we shot at Ripley. I hope you like what you see and if you would like to see more of our work then please ring me on 0113 2288333 and we can arrange an appointment to visit the studio and hopefully, I could be your Ripley Castle Wedding photographer.

Leeds Wedding Photographer -Showreel

Leeds wedding Photographer- New Showreel.

As usual this time of year we have a few couples sending in their album choices for the wedding we shot last year. We managed to get all around Yorkshire and beyond. We were at Ripley Castle, Allerton Castle, Oulton Hall, Waterton Park hotel, Swinton Castle and lots of other fantastic venues. So I got to view a lot of images over the last couple of weeks and had a bright Idea of putting together a slideshow of just some of them. There is music on the slideshow, so if your having a sneaky peek while your at work, you might want to turn the volume down. I would want you to get into trouble!

Most of our work is shot as it happens, although we do set up some pictures to add a bit of variety. The fun shots are the best and we have some great times at our weddings. Some of the Leeds weddings and the Wakefield weddings we shot last year were amazing.

We are passionate about what we do, which I hope you can see in the video. We are always after something different and unusual to to add that contemporary feel to your album.

We never shoot “disc only” packages, which is often referred to “shoot and burn”. This is normally associated with the “amateur” market, and in my view, should be avoided.

Your wedding album although its for you, its something to be treasured and eventually will be passed down to your children and your children’s children. This is why we always make sure that each album gets a laminated finish on every album we produce. We want it to stand the test of time and by doing this, helps to protect it against damage.

If you are getting married or know someone who is, please direct them to our site. Although we are a Leeds Wedding photographer, we undertake many commissions further afield and abroad.

Portrait Studio opens for Dogs and other furry things

Portrait Studio Leeds- Dog Portraits

Another addition in the Portrait Studio this week was Dexter. A beautiful looking cross breed. I dont know exactly which Breeds he is crossed with, but I do know that he often gets mistaken for a fox at times.

He was a perfect client and even played up to the camera and everyone in the portrait studio  fell in love with him.

Another visitor to the studio was Milo, a lovely looking dog and although a bit excitable at first, he soon calmed down after he “sniffed” his way around the portrait studio  for the fourth time.

Priya was also no trouble at all. she behaved impecablly for the camera, and was such a well trained dog. She was easy to photograph and looked like she did this sort of thing, everyday of the week.

Leeds portrait studio

For those of you that dont know, at the moment I am shooting a project for a friend of mine, who is writing a book on Canines and some kind owners have brought their dogs in the portrait studio to be photographed with a view of seeing their best friend in print.

Everyone who attends gets the Portrait sitting absolutely free, a saving of £45 and when then call back to pick their fave to be included in the book (if chosen). When you return there will be a chance for anyone to purchase some pictures from a selection of products that we offer. There is no obligation whatsoever.

Its been a real pleasure to photograph these wonderful animals. If anyone is still interested then please get in touch on our numbers which are 0113 2288333  07960934657.

We also have a new competition that will be announced quite soon. We are in discussions with a large Veterinary Practice in Leeds not far from the studio but more of that later, but do keep tuned.
